Porter, Maintenance​/Cleaning

Overview

Responsible for moving and cleaning vehicles. The Porter will perform various tasks and errands for the dealership.

• Move vehicles on the lot.
• Deliver vehicles to customers.
• Maintain a clean and orderly car lot and work area.
• Run various errands for the dealership.
• Maintain CSI at or above company standards.
• Participate in required training.
• Record all hours worked accurately in the company timekeeping system.
• Follow safeguards rules and regulations.
• Demonstrate the company’s core values.
• Comply with company policies and procedures.
• Observe all federal, state, local, and company safety rules and regulations in the performance of duties.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Education
  : GED, High School Diploma, Associate Degree, Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Degree, Doctorate Degree.
• Field of Study/Work Experience
  :
  Accounting, Automotive, Business, Human Resources, Information Technology.
• Desired Work Experience
  :
  Up to 3 years, 3–5 years, 5+ years.
• Certificates and Licenses
  :
  Valid driver’s license, Automobile salesperson license.
• Computer Skills
  :
  Basic computer skills to utilize the timekeeping system.
• Communication Skills
  :
  Ability to understand and follow instructions; communicate effectively with customers and company personnel.
• Attendance Expectations:
  Regular and predictable; scheduled shifts may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Physical Demands
  :
  Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds; frequent movement around the dealership, both indoors and outdoors; movement in and out of cars; regular talking or hearing; frequent standing, walking, and sitting.
• Environment Demands
  :
  Duties performed both indoors and outdoors on and off dealership premises; may be exposed to various work environments.
• Verbal and Writing Ability:
  Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos.
• Math Ability:
  Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.

  Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions; handle standardized situations.
