Responsibilites
- Provides daily housekeeping duties as assigned per Standard Operating Procedures.
- Closely follows daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedules.
- Cleans floors, including dust mop, wet mop, sweeping, and vacuuming.
- Cleans furnishings both movable and stationary throughout the facility.
- Cleans fixtures including restrooms, light fixtures, and water fountains.
- Dusts and disinfects horizontal surfaces throughout the facility.
- Removes trash and cleans/disinfects waste containers.
- Cleans and disinfects restrooms in patient rooms and public spaces.
- Cleans public spaces throughout the facility or clinic, including corridors, stairwells, elevators, waiting rooms, and lobby.
- Cleans equipment and work areas as assigned.
- Advises leadership of supply, equipment, maintenance, and repair needs.
- Maintains regular attendance and punctuality for scheduled shifts.
- Follows dress code policy.
- Utilizes assistive devices for lifting as mandatory.
- Stays updated on Federal, State, and DRH rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Attends in‑service educational programs.
- Adheres to safety protocols at all times; understands facility fire and disaster plans and follows established procedures during drills and emergencies.
- Meets all required conditions of employment, including required vaccinations.
- Undergoes respirator and fit testing as required for exposure to airborne infectious diseases, droplet‑producing procedures, or caustic chemicals.
- Implements DRH Standards of Behavior and exhibits behaviors consistent with DRH core values.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Fluency in oral and written English with strong communication skills.
- Knowledge of proper and safe use of custodial equipment and chemicals.
- Basic ability to use technology related to job duties.
- Ability to effectively follow applicable regulations and policies.
- Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Adaptability to procedures, processes, tools, equipment, and techniques to accomplish job requirements.
- Attention to detail.
- High school diploma or equivalent; preferred.
- Minimum one (1) year housekeeping experience in a health care setting; preferred.
- General knowledge of cleaning and infection prevention; preferred.
- Excellent customer service and professionalism.
- General knowledge of patient rights and housekeeping environmental services safety practices.
- Blood‑borne pathogen training.
- For positions requiring travel, a current valid driver’s license and automobile liability insurance must be maintained.
This position is a safety‑sensitive position as defined by Oklahoma law. Applicants cannot test positive for THC in pre‑employment or any post‑employment drug tests. This is true even for applicants with a valid medical marijuana card.
As a condition of employment, vaccinations are required per DRH policy. Medical and religious exemptions are available upon request.
