Seasonal Repair Specialist

Brief Overview

As a certified Safelite Repair Specialist I, you will utilize industry‑leading technology to complete vehicle glass repairs and champion the Safelite Spirit with a can‑do attitude, caring heart, and service mindset.

• Learn to repair vehicle glass in classroom and hands‑on training under experienced technicians.
• Repair chips, cracks, and other auto glass–related issues on customer vehicles.
• Manage work orders, customer documentation, and communication through Safelite handheld Mobile Resource Management (MRM) technology.
• Promote and sell Safelite promotional items to customers.
• Clean customer vehicles during wait times and perform additional housekeeping tasks in the company vehicle and shop.
• Operate company and customer vehicles, company‑issued tools, and chemicals safely and in compliance with policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Maintain compliance with all company policies and standards.

Driving duties are monitored via cameras, GPS, and other tracking technologies to ensure safety and compliance.

• Competitive weekly base pay starting at $17.75 per hour.
• Paid training and all tools and resources needed for success.

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent (preferred).
• Valid state‑issued driver’s license and any other licenses required by law to operate a company vehicle.
• Completion of Safelite Safe Tech™ certification (required).
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

• Lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. for short periods; assistance with windshields weighing 26–50 lbs.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, work in tight spaces, bend and twist body.
• Proficiency with hand tools and power tools, operating a motor vehicle safely.
• Ability to work outside under varying weather conditions and temperatures.
• Familiarity with chemicals, including flammable types, as per Safelite Way of Fitting.
• Flexible scheduling to meet customer needs.
• Problem‑solving and troubleshooting independently and collaboratively.
• Reading, writing, and interpreting English and technical directions.
• Effective oral and written communication via phone, computer, or other electronic means.
• Maintaining a professional appearance in line with company uniform and PPE policies.
• Ability to perform under professional or personal pressure.
