Role summary:
The (USA) Technician, Facility Services, Food Equipment, is responsible for performing preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on food equipment, facilities, and fixtures to ensure operational efficiency and safety. This role requires diagnosing issues, utilizing multiple craft skills, and managing maintenance schedules and documentation. The technician supports emergency response efforts, coordinates with contractors, and adheres to regulatory standards. By maintaining equipment and facilities in compliance with company policies and safety regulations, this position contributes to sustaining a reliable and safe work environment aligned with organizational goals.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance and repairs on food equipment, facilities, and fixtures following established schedules and guidelines.
- Inspect, clean, and diagnose equipment issues using blueprints, manuals, and various tools.
- Conduct major and minor repairs across multiple crafts including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.
- Manage work orders, maintenance logs, and documentation for repairs, parts ordering, and warranty claims.
- Operate and maintain heavy machinery and company vehicles in compliance with safety standards.
- Respond promptly to emergency calls and participate in on-call rotations to support critical needs.
- Collaborate with contractors to ensure quality and safety compliance.
- Proven experience performing preventive maintenance and repairs on food equipment and facility systems using multiple skills such as plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.
- Ability to diagnose equipment issues through inspection, testing, and use of technical manuals, blueprints.
- Skilled in operating hand and power tools, heavy machinery, and material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations including OSHA and EPA compliance requirements.
- Effective documentation and record-keeping skills for maintenance activities, work orders, and cost tracking.
- Capability to coordinate with contractors and manage maintenance schedules to ensure quality and safety standards.
