Description of WorkThis is skilled work in the care and maintenance of floors. Employees clean and maintain various types of floor surfaces, and may serve as lead workers in cleaning and maintaining wood, tile, terrazzo, and carpeted surfaces. The work requires knowledge of established floor finishing techniques, procedures, and correct usage of chemical cleaning agents. All tasks are performed under close supervision and are reviewed for quality and efficiency.
Knowledge,Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge of cleaning procedures.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Ability to work around residents with mental and physical handicaps.
Position is designated as mandatory and must report or stay over during adverse weather events.
Shift5:00 am – 1:30 pm, Monday – Friday
Salary Range$31,200.00 – $48,810.00
Minimum Education and ExperienceEducation and/or experience in floor maintenance work that is directly related to the job and consistent with accepted practices of the trade, equivalent to one year of experience in a commercial or institutional setting.
