Perform routine and preventive maintenance in the repair and maintenance of buildings, facilities and equipment within assigned areas of Duke University Hospital and Medical Center.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Training
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Experience – Three (3) to four (4) years minimum experience required either in a specific trade or in general building maintenance and repair. OR EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Valid N.C. Driver's license and a driving history acceptable under the guidelines of the Safe Driving Policy.

Communication Skills Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively communicate in one-on-one or small group situations with customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Must respect the privacy of patients and maintain the confidentiality of any patient information related to their treatment. Ability to complete daily records, logs, and time sheets.

Duke University provides an annual base salary range for this position as USD $21.62 to USD $35.75.
