Provides daily routine and detail cleaning of campus building interior and exterior areas, including offices, lounges, restrooms, student housing, classrooms, laboratories, entrances, exits, and stairways. General duties include vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal. The position will primarily be responsible for working in on-campus buildings during the academic year, summer break, and between semesters.

• Perform routine and detail cleaning of campus buildings.
• Follow work orders and instructions.
• Operate cleaning equipment and tools safely.
• Adhere to safety requirements and wear PPE.
• Assist in special tasks as assigned.

Demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work. Requires some knowledge of cleaning procedures, ability to follow instructions, and perform medium to heavy physical work; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Some positions may require special licenses or certification.

• Understand and follow work orders and product instructions, labels, and directions.
• Follow verbal instructions.

Work is routine and repetitive, may require strenuous physical exertion. Applicant must be able to climb stairs and move objects weighing up to 50 lbs., with or without reasonable accommodations. Must adhere to safety requirements by wearing appropriate PPE.
