Custodian Duties:

• Sweeps, mops, scrubs, and vacuums hallways, stairs, and office space.
• Empties tenants’ trash and garbage containers.
• Notifies management concerning the need for major repairs or additions to lighting, heating, and ventilating equipment.
• Cleans snow and debris from sidewalk.
• Assists in the moving or relocating of residents.
• Pressure washes outside areas as needed.
• Uses floor cleaning technology.
• Interacts courteously, tactfully, and politely with managers, co‑workers, residents, vendors, or associates to preserve productivity and morale.

Education and/or

Experience:

Less than high school education;
Several years of related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language

Skills:

• Read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.

Reasoning Ability:

• Apply common sense to carry out detailed but unambiguous written or oral instructions.
• Deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Physical Demands:

• Stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Climb or balance and talk or hear.
• Sit, taste, or smell as needed.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 lbs; frequently lift and/or move up to 50 lbs; occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 lbs.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $15.00 per hour (minimum)
