Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
CAE, one of the largest business aviation training facilities, is looking for a Simulator Technician in our newest training center in Minneapolis, MN.
Description- Learn and perform preventive maintenance tasks on simulators and associated simulator systems.
- Assist in diagnosing and correcting routine problems on simulators and associated systems.
- Perform pre‑flight and post‑flight tasks on designated simulators.
- Perform basic visual alignments.
- Run automatic Qualification Test Guide (QTG).
- Utilize the maintenance management system to record and track maintenance activities.
- Complete all designated training activities.
- Assist with refurbishment and hardware modifications.
- Learn and comply with CAE’s quality management system.
- Provide customer service support and address customer needs in a timely manner.
- Perform logistics duties, including parts receipt, repair, and testing/validation.
- Perform housekeeping functions to maintain simulators as required.
- Perform required administrative tasks.
- 2‑year technical degree or equivalent related training.
- 1 year of simulator‑related experience in one of the following:
- Electronics/avionics
- Automated systems
- Computer networking repair and troubleshooting
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting prints and schematics.
- Knowledge of analog and digital theory.
- Basic skills in operating test equipment.
- Basic skills in soldering and circuit board repair.
- Some knowledge of PCs and MS Office tools and suite.
- Able to travel (less than 10%).
