Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Housekeeper to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our residents, visitors, and staff. This role is essential to ensuring resident comfort, infection prevention, and overall facility cleanliness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Clean and maintain resident rooms, bathrooms, hallways, and common areas
  • Sweep, mop, dust, vacuum, and sanitize assigned areas
  • Clean lobbies, restrooms, drinking fountains, and other public spaces
  • Empty trash receptacles and replace liners
  • Clean walls, mirrors, windows, light fixtures, dispensers, and other surfaces
  • Dust and sanitize handrails and high-touch areas
  • Operate housekeeping equipment and cleaning supplies safely and effectively
  • Follow all safety procedures, infection control guidelines, and chemical handling protocols
  • Maintain housekeeping carts, storage areas, and supplies in a clean and organized manner
  • Report safety concerns, maintenance issues, and supply needs promptly
  • Provide excellent customer service to residents, families, and visitors
  • Work independently and as part of a team to meet facility cleanliness standards

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous housekeeping experience preferred; healthcare or long-term care experience is a plus
  • Ability to follow instructions, policies, and safety procedures
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Dependable, organized, and team-oriented
