Maintenance Manager, Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, Industrial Maintenance, Facility Maintenance
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead the maintenance function for an established manufacturing operation in the Easley, SC area.
This role is ideal for a hands‑on maintenance leader who knows how to build structure around a maintenance organization and move a team from a reactive environment toward a more proactive, preventive maintenance approach. The Maintenance Manager will lead a sizable maintenance team and will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on equipment reliability, PM/PdM strategy, processes, and overall maintenance performance.
WhatYou’ll Be Responsible For
- Lead, develop, and provide day‑to‑day direction for the plant maintenance organization, including approximately 50 maintenance mechanics/technicians.
- Drive the development and execution of a strong preventive and predictive maintenance (PM/PdM) program
. - Evaluate current maintenance practices and implement processes to reduce reactive maintenance and unplanned downtime.
- Utilize and optimize the CMMS to improve scheduling, work‑order management, maintenance history, and PM compliance.
- Establish, track, and manage maintenance and reliability KPIs
, including metrics such as OEE, MTBF, MTTR, downtime, PM completion, and response time. - Develop equipment‑specific PM schedules and continuously evaluate PM frequency and effectiveness based on equipment history and performance.
- Manage critical spare parts, MRO inventory, and maintenance‑related purchasing.
- Lead equipment troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis for recurring failures and reliability issues.
- Partner closely with Engineering, Operations, and other plant leadership to improve equipment performance and overall plant reliability.
- Manage outside vendors and contractors as needed.
- Support capital projects, equipment upgrades, installations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Develop and coach maintenance personnel while driving accountability, safety, and consistent maintenance practices.
- Strong maintenance leadership experience within a manufacturing environment
. - Demonstrated experience developing, implementing, or significantly improving a preventive maintenance program
. - Strong working knowledge of CMMS systems and maintenance planning/scheduling.
- Experience managing maintenance and reliability KPIs.
- Strong mechanical and technical aptitude with the ability to work across a variety of manufacturing equipment.
- Experience leading and developing maintenance technicians, mechanics, supervisors, and/or leads.
- Knowledge of equipment reliability, troubleshooting, root‑cause analysis, spare‑parts management, and continuous improvement.
- Experience with capital projects, equipment installations, and vendor management is highly valued.
