Salary Range: $20.00 To $30.00 Hourly
We are seeking a Maintenance Mechanic responsible for ensuring that manufacturing equipment and tools function properly for multi‑million‑dollar global account(s) related to playing card, trading card, and board game brands.
What You’ll Do- Manage and initiate all scheduled and emergency maintenance and repair work for building and equipment (Rolling Plate and Digital Printers, Slitters, Die Cutters, Corner Clippers, Shear Presses, Plastic Wrapping Machines, Automated Assembly Machines, Programmable Card Feeders, Material Moving Equipment, Facility Wiring, Air Compressors, HVAC, and Plumbing).
- Participate and coordinate maintenance activities individually and as part of a team.
- Consult with Production Manager, scheduling and equipment manufacturers on repair schedules and production delays.
- Communicate with machine manufacturer and part vendors to diagnose problems and expedite resolution.
- Plan and schedule daily activities under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor to achieve required results and complete tasks by priority.
- Make regular daily visual inspections of building, grounds, facilities, equipment, and ongoing or completed projects.
- Follow up on and study recurring facility failures to find solutions.
- Report problems that do not have a visible immediate solution to the supervisor.
- Maintain an inventory of supplies and materials necessary for the operation of the building maintenance department.
- Identify and correct workplace hazards to ensure safety of others and equipment.
- Maintain full attention and vigilance on‑job to ensure safety and quality; prohibited activities include napping, reading for pleasure, horseplay, or listening to loud radios.
- 3rd shift role, hours tentatively between 10 pm to 6 am, Monday‑through‑Friday.
- Minimum 5 years experience in manufacturing or warehouse environment.
- Strong organization of records and information.
- Ability to follow written instructions (in English) for machine set‑up.
- Basic arithmetic skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
- Ability to read and use a ruler, calipers and micrometers in metric and inches.
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to this job and the machinery operated.
- Good knowledge of chemicals used, their hazards, and proper disposal methods.
