SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Project Manager, Supervisor and Asst. Supervisor, the Lead Worker is responsible custodial duties, training of assigned staff, quality control and safety.
EDUCATION:High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
WORK EXPERIENCE:Experience working with persons with disabilities preferred.
One (1) year of custodial experience preferred.
CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES OF JOB:Performs custodial duties as required. Dry and wet mop hard floors;
Vacuums, spot cleans, or shampoos carpets when assigned;
Uses floor machines, automatic scrubbers, wall-washing equipment, waste collecting equipment;
Collects and transports refuse, cleans and relines refuse containers with plastic bags;
Cleans sinks, tubs, showers and toilets;
Polishes bright work and cleans mirrors; empties trash, sweeps and mops floors with disinfectant cleaner;
Replaces all paper and soap supplies;
Dusts, cleans and polishes furniture including beds, dressers, and lamps;
Cleans top of windows, door frames and other high places; polishes stainless steel and other bright work;
Cleans venetian blinds and drapes; strips or scrubs and refinishes floors when assigned. (E)
- Trains all assigned clients and staff in proper work habits, cleaning methods and safety procedures. (E)
- Perform random inspections of assigned contract sites. (E)
- Assures proper quality and cleanliness of all assigned contract sites. (E)
- Reports daily to the Assistant Supervisor on issues relating to the contracts and duties assigned. (E)
- Keeps all equipment in a clean, safe running condition. (E)
Coordinates any additional services required by the contract. (E)
