Field Service Engineer
As a Field Service Engineer at JBT Marel, you will be responsible for performance maintenance and setup work on all Bevcorp products, including Capping, Filling, Seaming, and Blending machinery.
Responsibilities- Set up and adjust machines, in the field and in our Bevcorp facilities, to equipment specifications.
- Troubleshoot and repair machinery mechanically (hydraulic/pneumatic) and electronically.
- Perform checks and setup of chucks and rolls.
- Perform machine audits, repairs, and preventative scheduled maintenance.
- Install, commission, and set up Bevcorp products in customer facilities.
- Diagnose problems, dismantle machines, replace defective parts, and reassemble machines.
- Identify and articulate root cause problem statements while troubleshooting.
- Perform all duties in accordance with JBT safety policies and procedures while maintaining a safety‑focused work mentality.
- Change over and set up change parts running clearance and timing.
- Complete service reports timely.
- Provide training to customers and coworkers alike.
- Follow high quality assembly practices while performing job duties.
- Travel, sometimes nights and weekends, up to 100%, depending on the location of team member residence. Schedule may fluctuate due to business need/priority, and any change will be provided at least two weeks in advance.
- Complete safety initiatives such as BBSOs and near‑misses as required within JBT expectations.
- Cross‑training is expected and, when applicable, you will provide training to customers and coworkers alike.
- When not traveling on a job, you will support internal operations at any Bevcorp facility, including equipment testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance under the direction of the internal department leader.
- 4‑6 years of mechanical/electrical experience or field service experience, including working knowledge of Bevcorp products.
- Minimum two‑year technical school training in a related field preferred.
- Basic computer skills – including use of iPad and smartphone, email, Word, Excel.
- Intermediate level of experience with AUTO CAD Mechanical and Electrical.
- Experience serving customers and working as a team to achieve success.
- Experience working on Angelus seamers, Bevcorp Blenders or Fillers, or CSI Capping preferred.
- Manufacturing experience in the food and beverage industry preferred.
- Valid U.S. Driver’s License.
- High level of dedication to safety and quality.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work with basic mathematical concepts.
- Passion to deliver results on customer’s needs.
- Ability to conduct specifications on machinery.
- Ability to adhere to all JBT values.
- Ability to travel outside of the U.S.
- Ability to lift, carry, move up to 50 pounds.
