Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, Building Maintenance, Facility Maintenance

Are you a hands-on problem solver who enjoys keeping things running smoothly? We are looking for a dependable, skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team and help care for properties we're proud of. In this role, you'll tackle a variety of maintenance and repair projects, support tenants with friendly service, and play an important part in keeping our facilities safe, functional, and looking their best.
Enjoy a steady Monday through Friday schedule from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm--no evenings or weekends. We provide the tools, uniform, and vehicle so you can focus on doing great work!
What You'll Do- Handle routine maintenance and repairs or coordinate with outside contractors when specialized support is needed.
- Jump into construction projects and tenant buildouts that help improve and transform our spaces.
- Perform inspections and preventative maintenance to catch small issues before they become big problems, while helping keep each property safe.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding quickly and professionally to tenant maintenance requests as directed by the Facilities Manager.
- Help keep our properties looking sharp through general grounds upkeep and maintenance and daily property checks.
- Keep clear, accurate maintenance records and make sure work orders and maintenance programs are completed on time.
- Experience in facilities maintenance and a solid understanding of mechanical systems.
- Comfort working with electrical systems and troubleshooting issues as they come up.
- Strong people skills and the ability to communicate well with tenants, coworkers, and supervisors.
- Experience in manufacturing environments is a plus, but not required.
- Working knowledge of tools, common appliances, and maintenance devices.
- Good manual dexterity, a can-do attitude, and strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to travel to properties in and around the Eau Claire area, along with a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Must be able to pass a background check required by the Department of Corrections.
