• $16.50 - $21.00 per hour (depending on qualifications) + opportunity for end of the season bonus! ($0.50 for every hour worked)
• Part Time (Part-time/Temporary/Seasonal Status), Non-Exempt
• Reports to Utility Field Operations Supervisor
• Located at Water Treatment Plant (14100 Technology Drive, Eden Prairie, MN 55344)
• Typical hours are Monday–Friday, 7:00am–3:00pm; part-time hours available to those with morning availability.

• Assists with the maintenance and operation of the community’s one-water infrastructure, including safe drinking water delivery, ecological management of stormwater ponds and streams, and sanitary collection and delivery of drain water to the Minnesota River. This position will be trained by public works water professionals.
• Operate pickup trucks, use hand tools and power tools, and use digital mapping and work management tools.
• Maintain the public drinking water distribution system by inspecting, testing, operating, and repairing fire hydrants, gate valves, water storage equipment and related appliances.
• Inspect and assist with repair of stormwater run-off systems and maintain surface water ponds and interconnected water management features to environmental standards.
• Read maps, navigate to manhole locations, and coordinate with hydro-vacuum cleaning crew to service sanitary mains.
• Assist the structure repair crew with removing and repairing manhole components and rainwater collection structures.
• Perform infrequent grounds maintenance such as restoring lawn areas damaged by utility repairs, landscaping, and mowing/trimming.
• Demonstrate safe operation and maintenance of hand/power tools, equipment, and safe work habits around heavy equipment and traffic.
• Collaborate with team members as needed to fulfill the City’s duties.

• Must be 18 years of age or older; related experience preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D) required. Valid Driver’s License and excellent driving record are required.
• Ability to lift/carry/push/pull 50–75 lbs, operate a motor vehicle, and work under all weather conditions.
• Candidates must successfully complete and pass the City’s pre-employment evaluation, including reference checks, background check, driver’s license check, work verification and education verification if applicable.
