Under direct supervision of the Environmental Services Supervisor or Manager, the Floor Technician Attendant will perform semi-skilled and skilled cleaning duties. Primarily responsible for all aspects of floor care—stripping of existing floor finish and applying new finish. Also responsible for all aspects of carpet care from vacuuming, spot cleaning and deep extraction of carpeted surfaces.
This position is responsible for sanitation, safety, equipment and other items directly or indirectly affecting the Environmental Services’ employees. Employee must be able to follow the policies and procedures for infection control and standard precautions.

Job Description:- Performs restoration or project cleaning procedures to maintain building appearance, including stripping and refinishing floors with industrial ride‑on equipment.
- Performs preventative maintenance on equipment and informs supervisor when supplies are needed.
- Dust mops and damp mops or vacuums corridors to maintain cleanliness and appearance.
- Follows applicable steps for safety and compliance with medical center, state, and federal safety standards.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Moves furniture and equipment to allow relocation, redecoration, or restorative cleaning.
- Performs daily cleaning procedures in non‑patient and inpatient areas and restrooms as required.
- Removes trash to compactor or waste storage area to ensure proper disposal.
- Responsible for the setup of meetings and distribution of audio‑visual equipment.
- Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary for service delivery.
- Attends in‑service programs and completes Net Learning modules as required.
- Ability to read and write; ability to be trained and follow directions.
- Ability to do heavy lifting up to 60 lbs.
Experience:
- 6 months prior experience in hard floor restoring/restoration including carpet care.
