The Water Plant Operator I position earns competitive pay of $16.72/hr

• Operate and maintain essential equipment at the Water Plant.
• Troubleshoot issues and take water samples and tests.
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of the building and grounds.
• Provide assistance and support to other divisions within the department as needed.

• High school diploma, GED or equivalency.
• Community college, vocational, technical, or correspondence school certificates are likely sources.
• No experience required.
• Must have a current valid class "C" driver s license from the Texas Department of Public Safety.
• Preferred Class "B" Commercial Driver s License (CDL).
• Achieve TCEQ Class "D" Surface Water License within the first year of employment.
• Achieve TCEQ Class "C" Surface Water License within three years of employment.
