Senior Maintenance Worker – City of Edinburg in Edinburg, TX is actively seeking a dedicated Senior Maintenance Worker to perform maintenance and repair of street signs and pavement markings. As a Senior Maintenance Worker, you will perform maintenance and repair of street signs and pavement markings. Your tasks include removal and replacement of signs throughout the city, cleaning and repair of pavement markings, and assisting with traffic hardware setup for signal repairs, detours, and other traffic-related repairs. You may assist with stripping of roadways and curbs and provide support to other divisions within the department as needed.

You may assist in setting up traffic control for special events, emergencies, and weather response.

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalency
• Education Preference: community college, vocational, business, technical, or correspondence school certifications are likely sources
• Educational Substitution: related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• No experience required. Experience Preference:
  One (1) year of experience performing tasks closely related to the job description
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
• Must have a current valid class "C" driver's license from the Texas Department of Public Safety
