Lead Critical Facilities Technician
Provide technical and facility support in a 24x7 data center environment, maintaining electrical, HVAC, and building management systems. Work in a self‑motivated, team‑oriented setup that prioritizes urgent service and excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities- First escalation point of contact for the Critical Facilities team and customers.
- Acts as liaison between the critical facilities team and management.
- Provides formal and informal training to the team throughout the day.
- Provides administrative support for Ops management including staff scheduling, ticket queues, inventory maintenance, supplies, PPE, and assigned duties.
- Reporting for compliance audits.
- Proactively support the safety of the environment & occupants, ensuring safety procedures are adhered to.
- Monitor critical power, cooling/environmental, security & support systems and facilities to meet or exceed uptime service levels.
- Partner with Service Delivery and/or Network team during incidents.
- Perform maintenance tasks to ensure smooth operation of data center heating and cooling systems and overall facility.
- Monitor, resolve and update all assigned service tickets using the ticketing system, including trouble tickets and customer installations of electrical and physical equipment; create tickets and assign work to team members.
- Take daily operational readings of all mechanical and electrical equipment and inspect buildings, grounds, and equipment for unsafe or malfunctioning operation. Pull readings for monthly billing.
- Customer‑facing; will require contact in‑person and via telephone & email.
- 3‑5 years experience in a critical operations environment and/or data center preferred, but not required.
- Experience running projects or supervising people preferred.
- Effective communication skills; clear convey messages & requirements to customers and team.
- Multi‑tasking; manage several systems and shift work priorities throughout the day.
- Attention to detail; ability to follow documented processes and safety code.
- Organization & prioritization; manage time with minimal supervision.
- Availability for overtime; working hours may include nights, weekends and holidays.
- Ability to obtain security clearance via government or agency background check may be required.

Reasonably expected salary range: $78,400.00 - $98,000.00
