Job Description
We are looking for a reliable and experienced Pallet/Pit Tech to operate various industrial vehicles to move materials and pallets within a warehouse or industrial setting. This may involve using forklifts, order pickers, and other equipment to lift, stack, and transport items. The Pallet/Pit Tech also assists with loading and unloading vehicles, builds pallets, and performs additional cleaning duties within the warehouse.
ScheduleSaturday and Sunday (2:00 pm - 10:30 pm)
Pay$19.00 per hour
Responsibilities- Operating PITs:
Use forklifts, order pickers, and other equipment to move materials. - Loading and Unloading:
Assist with loading/unloading vehicles. - Material Handling:
Move, locate, relocate, and stack items. - Staging and Pallet Building:
Prepare materials for delivery. - Safety:
Ensure safe operation and adherence to safety protocols. - Equipment Maintenance:
Perform basic inspections and maintenance. - Clean and maintain buildings/facilities.
- Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to protect floors and fixtures.
- Notify Manager regarding need for repairs or additions to building systems.
- Establish and maintain effective communication and working relationships with clients, co-workers, shift coordinators, supervisors, managers, etc.
- Comply with all safety, security, compliance, and quality standards and procedures established by the Company, Clients, and regulatory authorities.
- Clean furniture, fixtures, floors, ceilings, walls, machines, and equipment.
- Move cabinets, boxes, furniture, crates and equipment to clean areas, either manually or using hand trucks.
- Clean interior partition glass, windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.
- Wash and replace blinds.
- Gather and empty trash.
- Sweep walks, rake leaves, cut grass, remove snow or perform other incidental seasonal tasks.
- Wipe and clean tabletops, chairs, and equipment in food areas.
- Service, clean, and supply restrooms.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- No high school diploma, GED, or college degree required.
- Attention to Detail:
Accurate placement and loading of items. - Ability to Follow Instructions:
Follow written and verbal instructions. - Teamwork:
Collaborate with other warehouse staff. - Customer service experience.
