2026 - 2027 School Year, District Wide, Building & Grounds Department.

• Be a licensed driver and/or have transportation to and from work sites.
• Must possess a Black Seal Operating Engineer's license.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Compliance with the NJ FIRST Act.
• Successful Criminal History Clearance.
• Proof of U.S. Citizenship or appropriate employment authorization.
• Ability to perform the essential functions of their position at 100% capacity, without any permanent physical limitations that would limit his/her ability.
• Essential Functions/ Frequent Physical duties:
  • Working with/near cleaning chemicals and fumes.
  • Lift/Carry 1 - 50 pounds unassisted.
  • Push/Pull 1 - 50 pounds unassisted.
  • Bend/ Stoop/ Twist.
  • Crouch/ Squat.
  • Reach above and below shoulders.
  • Repetitive arm and wrist use.
  • Walking (on even walking surface).
• Occasional Physical duties:
  • Lift/Carry 51 - 100 pounds.
  • Push/Pull 51 - 100 pounds.
  • Repetitive Grabbing/ Squeezing.
  • Climb ladder/ stairs.
  • Walking (on uneven walking surfaces).
  • Working with/near building maintenance equipment, power tools, heights and tight places.
  • Other duties as may be assigned.

For the 26/27 SY, compensation is $16/hour, as needed, not to exceed 29 hours per week. Compensation will be commensurate with experience and education.

This is a temporary substitute assignment with a fixed contract for the school year. This position does not include year‑round employment, benefits, or guaranteed continued assignment beyond the designated season/contracted period. Must reapply for the next school year.
