Janitor, Maintenance​/Cleaning, Cleaning Services

Position Overview

This position is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness of the facility.

• Daily cleaning of all bathrooms;
• Daily cleaning of all lunch/break rooms;
• Dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, etc
• Daily emptying of all trash receptacles; and
• Maintain clean external environment around all employee entrances.

• Maintain levels of all cleaning supplies;
• Maintain levels of all paper products;
• Source cleaning supplies, when required
• Timely Corrective Action response and resolution to relevant situations
• Engage and support company wide Safety and Cleanliness programs
• Other miscellaneous duties as assigned.

• A minimum 1 year (or more) of relevant experience
• Knowledge of mechanical or motorized cleaning equipment
• High School Graduate preferred
• Task oriented excellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize work load
• Enthusiastic attitude, cooperative team player, adaptable to new or changing circumstances, professional demeanor, self-motivated, creative and innovative.
• Utilize strong English language skills, both spoken and written, to interact effectively with team members and complete job tasks.

• Must be able to lift 70 lbs;
• Must be able to sustain physical work for 8+ hours per day including the following:
  • Standing
  • Reaching and pulling
  • Sight
  • Walking through shop
  • Bending, climbing and crouching.
• Office environment is of moderate noise level.
• Shop noise levels are such that protective ear-coverings are recommended.
• Grease, oil and water exposure.
• Sometimes subject to external weather conditions.
• Overtime and some weekends required.
