DESCRIPTION
The Parts Warehouse Associate I is responsible for providing excellent customer service and maintaining an organized warehouse operation through basic warehouse processes and inventory management.
WHAT YOU'LL DO- Provide exceptional customer service.
- Maintain a clean, organized, professional and safe (COPS) work environment.
- Pick efficiently and accurately, pack, stage, put away, deliver orders, and maintain customer calls.
- Execute basic to intermediate warehouse tasks including cores, ship desk, hose fabrication, and will call.
- Apply basic principles of inventory control.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED, or one to three months of related experience and/or training.
- Ability to pass the Work Steps test for this position.
- Willingness to work overtime, weekends, holidays, or evenings as required.
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Effective presentation skills for one‑on‑one and small group interactions with customers, clients, and coworkers.
- Basic arithmetic: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division in all units of measure, plus rate, ratio, percent, and graph interpretation.
- Common‑sense application of written or oral instructions.
- Problem‑solving ability for situations with a few concrete variables.
- Proficiency with database, internet, inventory, and order‑processing software.
- Valid driver’s license if a company vehicle is required.
- Forklift certification upon hiring.

Physical and environmental requirements: the role requires frequent use of hands to finger, handle, or feel; standing, walking, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling; occasional sitting, climbing, or balancing; and frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds. Vision requirements include close, distance, peripheral, and depth perception.
Exposure to wet or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, outdoor weather conditions, electrical shock, and explosives. Regular noise level is moderate.
Required travel: up to 10% of time.
