Maintenance Assistant

The primary responsibility of a Maintenance Assistant is to help the Maintenance Supervisor keep our facility operating smoothly and repair any problems when they are discovered. If you believe you're a mechanically capable, driven, and accountable individual,

• Performing routine maintenance around the building.
• Working on damaged electrical wiring when a shortage or severed wire occurs.
• Fixing potential safety hazards to avoid injuries.
• Clean various surfaces and areas, including tabletops, floors, furniture, and windows
• Refinish floors as needed.
• Fix minor issues related to electricity, plumbing and other systems.
• Keep equipment in working order and report any repair needs beyond your scope to Supervisor.

• Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and HVAC.
• Carpentry ability to handle basic repairs around the building.
• Experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility or Long Term Care environment preferred.
