- Analyzes and diagnoses equipment problems and breakdowns
- Recommends the correct service and repair actions to resolve equipment performance problems
- Makes appropriate equipment repairs or modifications to solve operating and performance problems based on analysis
- Follows all scheduled maintenance procedures and policies
- Documents each service call and required paperwork
- Observes safety procedures; ensures proper disposal of hazardous waste
- Maintains company service vehicles in a clean, orderly, and hazard-free manner; performs regular maintenance (oil changes, tire rotations, etc.)
- Secures and maintains service and parts inventory in the service vehicle
- Provides well-maintained personal tools required to perform duties
- Keeps the work area clean and hazard-free
- Other duties as required and assigned
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 3 to 5 years related experience with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic equipment
- Experience repairing forklifts
- Technical or mechanical training/certifications preferred
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to read service and training manuals, interpret schematics, and use electrical diagnostic instruments
- Ability to safely operate power tools, lifts, hoists, hydraulic jacks, and overhead cranes
