• Analyzes and diagnoses equipment problems and breakdowns
• Recommends the correct service and repair actions to resolve equipment performance problems
• Makes appropriate equipment repairs or modifications to solve operating and performance problems based on analysis
• Follows all scheduled maintenance procedures and policies
• Documents each service call and required paperwork
• Observes safety procedures; ensures proper disposal of hazardous waste
• Maintains company service vehicles in a clean, orderly, and hazard-free manner; performs regular maintenance (oil changes, tire rotations, etc.)
• Secures and maintains service and parts inventory in the service vehicle
• Provides well-maintained personal tools required to perform duties
• Keeps the work area clean and hazard-free
• Other duties as required and assigned

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum 3 to 5 years related experience with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic equipment
• Experience repairing forklifts
• Technical or mechanical training/certifications preferred
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to read service and training manuals, interpret schematics, and use electrical diagnostic instruments
• Ability to safely operate power tools, lifts, hoists, hydraulic jacks, and overhead cranes
