Position Type: Part Time – Weekends and Evenings

The Gori Law Firm is looking for a reliable Custodian to join our team. As a Custodian at our company, you will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining the Edwardsville, IL facilities.

• Ability to learn materials, methods, and equipment used in cleaning office buildings
• Ability to understand and carry out simple oral instructions
• Ability to work independently with little supervision
• Willingness to work hours other than the normal office hours

• Keep building and property in clean and orderly condition
• Perform routine maintenance activities
• Perform heavy cleaning duties
• Sweep, mop, scrub, and/or vacuum floors
• Gather and empty trash
• Scrub, sanitize, and supply restroom facilities
• Dust furniture, walls, and equipment
• Clean windows, mirrors, and partitions with soap and other cleansers
• Mix cleaning solutions and chemicals in containers in preparation for cleaning, according to instructions
• Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power machinery to prevent damage to floors and fixtures
• Cleans and polish fixtures and furniture
• Shampoo or steam-clean carpets and rugs
• Manage inventory of cleaning supplies
• Notify managers regarding the need for repairs or additions to building operating systems

• Must pass criminal history background check

Janitorial equipment including floor buffer, steam cleaner, carpet cleaner, washer, vacuum, mop, broom, ladder and dusting equipment

$16-$20 per hour.
