Job PurposeThe Service Advisor liaises between customers and technicians, ensuring superior customer service and efficient repair scheduling. They prepare and bill repair orders, assign work, and manage customer communication. The role prioritizes honoring commitments, fostering positive customer experiences, and continuous learning.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Process all shop repair orders by scheduling and assigning work to shop associates; document and diagnose necessary repairs by taking photographs.
- Provide effective communication to customers regarding their job orders by preparing estimates for repair work and parts.
- Work closely with customers and insurance companies to obtain necessary authorization and documentation relating to repair work.
- Monitor job schedules to ensure timeliness of repairs and job pricing.
- Maintain inventory of parts, paint, and materials necessary for repair functions.
- Continuously seek ways to improve processes and efficiencies within the shop.
- Complete invoicing and collect procedures in a timely manner.
- Adapt to the evolving needs of the organization and undertake additional responsibilities as required.
- Perform all other duties as assigned to support the overall success of the shop.

Minimum Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Three (3) years of related automotive repair facility or heavy‑duty truck experience preferred.
- Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Windows; demonstrated skills in computer‑generated business systems.
- Valid driver’s license required; CDL required or ability to obtain.
