SUMMARY:
The Public Works Laborer plays a vital role in maintaining and improving Egg Harbor Township’s infrastructure, public spaces, and municipal facilities. This position requires physical labor, equipment operation, and adherence to safety protocols to ensure the township remains clean, functional, and safe for residents.

• Road maintenance, drainage work, street sweeping, tree trimming, snow operations, and loose-leaf collection.
• Sanitation services including trash removal, bulky waste collection, vegetative debris removal, and custodial duties.
• Maintenance and cleaning of municipal buildings, parks, athletic fields, recreation facilities, and grounds.
• Set-up and breakdown of recreation programs, community events, and special events.
• Assistance with vehicle and equipment maintenance.
• Participation in emergency response operations and Clean Communities initiatives.
• Routine maintenance, cleaning, and general labor duties as assigned.
• Any other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to perform physical labor (outside) in various weather conditions.
• Experience with construction, maintenance, or sanitation work is a plus.
• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) may be required for certain tasks.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Entry level laborers will be placed in the division of need depending on experience.
