The EVS/Janitor Staff position plays a critical role in maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic environment within healthcare facilities. This role ensures that all patient care areas, public spaces, and support zones meet stringent cleanliness and infection control standards to promote patient safety and comfort. The staff member will be responsible for the proper handling and disposal of waste, including biohazard materials, in compliance with healthcare regulations.

Additionally, this position supports the overall operational efficiency of the facility by promptly addressing environmental service needs and collaborating with clinical and administrative teams. Ultimately, the
EVS/Janitor Staff contributes to a healing environment that supports positive health outcomes and enhances the patient and visitor experience.

Full-Time | 5:00 AM – 1:00 PM | 4x2 Schedule

$17.50–$19.00 per hour (Depending on experience)

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience in environmental services or custodial work, preferably in a healthcare setting.
• Basic knowledge of infection control practices and safety protocols.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
• Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.

• Certification in Environmental Services or Healthcare Cleaning (e.g., CHESP).
• Experience with hospital‑grade cleaning equipment and disinfectants.
• Familiarity with healthcare regulations such as OSHA, JCAHO, and CDC standards.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clinical staff and management.
• Demonstrated commitment to maintaining a safe and patient‑centered environment.

• Perform routine and deep cleaning of patient rooms, operating rooms, waiting areas, restrooms, and other facility spaces using approved cleaning agents and equipment.
• Ensure proper segregation, handling, and disposal of medical and hazardous waste in accordance with OSHA and CDC guidelines.
• Maintain and restock cleaning supplies and equipment, reporting any maintenance or safety issues to the appropriate department.
• Collaborate with nursing and clinical staff to coordinate cleaning schedules that minimize disruption to patient care.
• Document cleaning activities and maintain records to comply with healthcare facility standards and regulatory requirements.
