Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking an Equipment Technician for the 2nd shift. The hourly rate is $23.92 per hour. Shift hours are Monday through Friday from 4:00 pm to 12:45 am. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

What you’ll do- Support the Technical Services department by driving continuous improvement in electrical assembly operations.
- Maintain fabrication and production equipment in optimal working condition, perform preventive and predictive maintenance (PMs), and minimize downtime.
- Support operations and capital assets maintenance (equipment, machinery, building, etc.) and other duties as needed.
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on equipment.
- Read and interpret technical diagrams.
- Troubleshoot, analyze, and repair equipment using a systematic process to identify root causes (electrical, electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic).
- Complete continuous improvement activities related to equipment and facility (5S+, TPM, Set Up Reduction, etc.).
- Assist outside contractors on plant projects and repairs.
- Experience with metal fabrication processes and equipment.
- Minimum three (3) years of experience working at a manufacturing site.
- Minimum of one year of experience with hydraulics, pneumatics and electronics.
- Must currently reside within 50 miles of the El Paso, TX facility (no relocation provided).

- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in the industrial maintenance field.
- Knowledge of PLC electronic controls.
- Strong electrical background and experience.
- Strong metal fabrication experience, including CNCs, lathes, punch and bend equipment.
- Two (2) year technical degree or certification in electronics, electrical power, controls, fluid power, or basic PLC programming.
- Basic English and Spanish reading and writing skills.
- Able to utilize hydraulic schematics, pneumatic schematics, and electrical schematics for troubleshooting.
- Knowledge and experience in commercial/industrial building trades.
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency with Windows-based software.
- Problem‑solving, strong verbal communication, and teamwork skills.
- Proficiency with verbal and written communications.
- Ability to use a range of tools from common hand and power tools to precision measuring instruments and electronic testing devices.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a highly unstructured and ambiguous environment.
