Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, Building Maintenance, HVAC Tech / Heating Engineer
The General Maintenance Technician is responsible for helping keep the waterpark safe, clean, and fully operational. This position performs routine maintenance, repairs, inspections, and troubleshooting on park equipment, attractions, facilities, plumbing, and electrical systems. The technician works closely with operations staff to ensure guests have a safe and enjoyable experience.

Duties / Responsibilities- Perform daily inspections of water slides, pools, pumps, filters, and park equipment.
- Conduct preventative maintenance on mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems.
- Repair leaks, pumps, motors, valves, lighting, and minor structural issues.
- Maintain water quality systems and assist with chemical checks when needed.
- Respond quickly to maintenance requests and emergency repairs.
- Keep maintenance tools, equipment, and work areas organized and safe.
- Assist with seasonal opening and closing procedures.
- Complete maintenance logs, inspection reports, and work orders.
- Follow all safety procedures, OSHA guidelines, and park policies.
- Support groundskeeping, painting, cleaning, and general facility upkeep as needed.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Experience in general maintenance, facilities maintenance, or mechanical repair preferred.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely.
- Strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
- Flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and evenings.
- Pool or aquatic facility maintenance experience.
- Knowledge of water filtration and pump systems.
- Certification in pool operations or maintenance is a plus.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
Work is typically performed in the resort in confined space work. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The work involves a majority of physical labor such as standing, bending, stooping, twisting, climbing and some lifting up to 50 lbs. Outdoor waterpark setting with exposure to heat, humidity, water, and chemicals. Fast‑paced environment during peak season.
