Performs preventive maintenance and repairs on facility equipment and machinery while also completing routine custodial and cleaning tasks.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS(Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.)
- Perform routine inspections, monitoring, and troubleshooting of facility equipment and machinery to identify issues, ensure safe operation, and complete scheduled preventive maintenance.
- Oversee outside contractor installations, maintenance, and repairs involving facility equipment and machinery.
- Perform routine facility maintenance, including lighting replacements, filter changes, and other scheduled upkeep tasks.
- Perform basic plumbing repairs (e.g., unclogging drains, repairing leaks).
- Conduct carpentry, painting, and other general building maintenance tasks as needed.
- Complete custodial and cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, and restroom upkeep.
- Restock restroom and break room supplies, including paper products, hand soap, and trash liners.
- Remove trash and recycling from designated areas and ensure proper disposal in accordance with facility procedures.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and work orders.
- Document maintenance activities, inspection findings, and completed repairs.
- Maintain accurate records of preventive maintenance schedules.
- Operate forklifts as necessary.
- Assist with facility inspections for safety, compliance, and operational readiness.
Performs additional duties as assigned to support facility operations.
Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS- Associate’s degree, or technical degree.
- Three years related experience.
- Equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
- A working knowledge of Excel, Word, Access and Outlook (email).
- Knowledge of machinery, equipment, and tools necessary for the preventive maintenance and repair of the facilities, equipment and machinery.
- Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions.
- Four years’ experience painting and performing equipment and machinery maintenance.
- Experience performing facility repairs in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, or tools and regularly reach with hands and arms, including overhead as needed; climb or balance; bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and smell. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
WORKENVIRONMENT
- Work near moving mechanical parts.
- Work with electrical equipment and be exposed to the risk of electrical shock.
- Work in high or precarious places.
- Be occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles.
- Work both inside and outside in heat, cold, wet, and dry conditions.
- Frequently use personal protective equipment to prevent exposure to hazardous conditions.
- Work in areas with moderate to high noise levels.
