Chenega Government Mission Solutions, LLC, a Chenega Professional Services’ company, is looking for a Janitor/Groundskeeper to support the U.S. Custom and Border Protection (CBP) Processing and Holding Modular Buildings located at the El Paso Border Patrol Station. The Custodian/Groundskeeper will maintain all areas, which include Detainee Areas, CBP Staff Common Areas, Sally Port, Laundry Trailer Parking Area, Warehouse, Property Storage Area, and the immediate Modular Facilities Grounds Areas (sidewalks, driveways, parking areas) up to twenty-five (25) feet from the buildings, while understanding the critical nature and time sensitive needs in maintaining a high level of services within the Modular Facility.

Responsibilities

• Sweep all non-carpeted floor surface areas, including corners and abutments, so that after sweeping the floors are free of spills, trash, visible litter, dust, and debris.
• Damp mop and spray buff the tile and resilient flooring areas, unless specified otherwise by the material manufacturer’s recommendations, or industry standards, including corners and abutments, so that after mopping, they are clean and free of dirt, water streaks, rust stains, mop marks, string, gum, grease, tar and all foreign items.
• Apply a uniform and non-slip floor finish coating, so that the floors have a glossy appearance, and are free of scuff marks, heel marks, and other stains and discolorations.
• Strip and wax all hard surface floors in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations to ensure a non-slip surface and uniform finish.
• Vacuum all carpet-type entrance mats to remove soil and grit and to restore resiliency of the carpet pile, and clean outside mats to remove soil and grit.
• Empty and return to their initial location all wastebaskets and trash containers; replace liners as needed; dispose of trash in designated containers.
• Thoroughly dust all horizontal and vertical surfaces on furniture up to 7’0” high and clean ledges, window sills, and hand rails.
• Wipe mirrors and glass surfaces and ensure they are clear of smudges and film.
• Clean and maintain porcelain or stainless-steel surfaces, drinking fountains, and related fixtures.
• Perform spot cleaning and use appropriate germicidal detergents in restrooms and break areas.
• Disinfect and clean partitions, stalls, toilets, urinals, and related surfaces.
• De-scale toilet bowls and urinals and ensure cleanliness and hygiene.
• Re-supply restrooms and other facilities with toilet paper, towels, and hand soap.
• Perform high dusting of surfaces 7’0” or higher, including blinds and vents where installed.
• Clean interior and exterior window surfaces and maintain frames and casings.
• Inspect and maintain interior lighting fixtures and replace bulbs as required.
• Clean air conditioning vents and maintain cleanliness of surrounding areas.
• Clean grounds, landscape beds, driveways, parking areas, and sidewalks; remove trash and debris.
• Maintain grass and landscaping as required, including mowing, trimming, and weed control as directed by the Government Authorized Representative.
• Water shrubs and lawn areas as needed and maintain overall appearance of landscaped areas.
