Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, Field/Service Technician
Summary
The Emissions Tech position plays a critical role in assuring that our state and federally regulated stationary engines maintain compliance. The position is responsible for quarterly and maintenance testing using a portable analyzer, and for supervising third‑party annual and biannual testing.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The essential job duties for this position are listed below:
- Operate a portable emission analyzer, create and utilize reports to maintain required emission limits on equipment.
- Notify for upcoming state emission testing; review and approve reports when completed.
- Coordinate facility operations during the emission testing.
- Ensure company practices adhere to organizational processes and standards, and other duties as assigned or required.
- Demonstrate knowledge and application of emission requirements, regulations, procedures and guidelines.
- Effectively communicate requirements and changes within the emissions department.
- Identify and resolve issues under high‑pressure situations.
- Be proficient in the use of Excel, Word, Outlook, Internet and inventory tracking software.
- Maintain a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record; maintain driving records aligned with company requirements.
- Maintain the company vehicle according to company guidelines.
- Demonstrate the ability to troubleshoot and repair emission control systems.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- A minimum of 2–4 years of relevant experience in a midstream operations role or equivalent work experience.

- Lift up to 75 lbs occasionally.
- Driving, walking, and standing frequently.
- Exposure to noise levels in excess of 85 dBA, potentially hazardous chemicals and materials.
- Exposure to adverse weather, cramped conditions, and some heavy lifting.
- Climb ladders up to 25 feet and walk on uneven terrain.
- Occasional overnight travel may be required.
- Working conditions vary by job site, with some sites indoors at compressor stations and others outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.
- There is a strong emphasis on safety while working with heavy equipment and machinery.
