Position OverviewAs a Harness Technician Sr, you will work hands‑on with space hardware, translating designs into reality. Your skill and attention to detail will directly contribute to on‑orbit mission success. Build and terminate wiring harnesses to a high quality and repetitive manner for spacecraft installation. This role requires the ability to work first shift.

Position Responsibilities- Fabricate harnesses for spacecraft and ground systems.
- Build and terminate wiring harnesses to a high quality for racks and boxes.
- Explain assembly procedures or techniques to co‑workers.
- Work and take direction from team leader for project completion.
- Confer with supervisors regarding any anticipated production problems.
- Cross‑train and mentor new hires.
- Other duties as assigned.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in one of the listed location options. Primary first shift; additional shifts may be required to support program objectives.
Security Clearance and Export Control RequirementsThis position must meet Export Control compliance requirements. A “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Basic Qualifications- Minimum 4 years’ experience as a technician in aerospace or an equivalent high‑reliability field.
- Certification to J‑STD‑001 space and NASA‑STD‑8739.4.
- Demonstrated exceptional attention to detail.
- Experience using hand tools, repairing and troubleshooting electronic components.
- Ability to read schematics, harness wiring diagrams, layout drawings, mechanical drawings, circuit layouts, and parts lists.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Applicants must pass a soldering and crimping test.
- Experience working in a clean room.
- Familiar with personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Demonstrated ability to use computer applications for work documentation.
- Practice good housekeeping, tool control, FOD awareness/prevention, and safety at all times.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and teamwork skills.
- Experience with all MS Office software.
- Demonstrated ability to perform in-process verification of work (2PV).
- 4+ years of knowledge of various wire harness tools, including manual and pneumatic crimpers.
- IPC/WHMA‑A‑620 certification highly desired.

Union and Employment Classification- This is a union‑represented position.
- This is an hourly position governed by the Cabinet Makers, Millmen and Industrial Carpenters Union (CMM&IC Local 721).
- New hires and employees transferring from non‑union roles may be required to attend or complete training within their 90‑day probationary period.
Summary pay range: $29.42 – $47.09 per hour. Pay is based on candidate experience and qualifications. Benefits generally include health insurance, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, retirement savings plans, life and disability insurance, and paid/unpaid time off. Specific programs vary by location, hire date, and collective bargaining agreements. Millennium is DDTC‑registered, ITAR‑compliant. This position requires a security clearance and it is located at a facility that requires special access.
