Maintenance Technician Senior - Millennium Space Systems

Job Description

• Follows safe working practices and makes appropriate use of related safety equipment as required
• Fix potential safety hazards to avoid injuries
• Inspect buildings, equipment, and systems to identify any issues
• Inspect facilities and grounds for safety and security, by applying preventative measures to reduce the risk of future problems
• Conduct periodic quality checks on equipment and systems to ensure everything is up to standard
• Maintain the building HVAC equipment to keep climate control in the facility functioning properly
• Maintain and repair production equipment as assigned
• Maintain the inventory records for equipment and supplies
• Maintain records and logs of daily activities
• Repair faulty equipment units and damaged structures
• Perform custodial tasks as needed
• Assist with structural pest control measures
• Assist with Millennium’s monthly special events as needed
• Assist with office and equipment moves as assigned
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance procedures
• Provide guidance and training to lower-level staff

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements; therefore, a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Applicants must be U.S. citizens and eligible for a security clearance. An interim U.S. Top Secret Clearance Pre-Start and final U.S. Top Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

• High School Diploma or GED
• 5 years minimum of relevant maintenance experience
• Ability to lift to 50 lbs. and work at varying heights and cramped spaces
• Experience with Aerospace production equipment (e.g., TVAC, thermocycle chambers, vibration operations)

• Minimum 5+ years of Integration experience
• EPA Universal license 608
• NATE certification (HVAC)
• Level 1 infrared thermographer certification
• Machine maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
• Security clearance
• Programmable logic experience (PLC)
• California building code knowledge

• The selected candidate must be able to work any shift, as assigned
• New hires and employees transferring from non-union roles may be required to attend or complete training within their 90-day probationary period. Continued employment is contingent on successfully completing the probationary period

This role will be on 1st Shift.

Pay is based on candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range:
Grade 24: $29.42 – $47.09
