Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
Job Description
Millennium Space Systems, a part of Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS), is a fast, agile small satellite company focused on national security space. Our missions have direct impact on global security, such as missile warning and Earth observation.
Position Responsibilities- Follows safe working practices and makes appropriate use of related safety equipment as required
- Fix potential safety hazards to avoid injuries
- Inspect buildings, equipment, and systems to identify any issues
- Inspect facilities and grounds for safety and security, by applying preventative measures to reduce the risk of future problems
- Conduct periodic quality checks on equipment and systems to ensure everything is up to standard
- Maintain the building HVAC equipment to keep climate control in the facility functioning properly
- Maintain and repair production equipment as assigned
- Maintain the inventory records for equipment and supplies
- Maintain records and logs of daily activities
- Repair faulty equipment units and damaged structures
- Perform custodial tasks as needed
- Assist with structural pest control measures
- Assist with Millennium’s monthly special events as needed
- Assist with office and equipment moves as assigned
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance procedures
- Provide guidance and training to lower-level staff
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
Security Clearance and Export Control RequirementsThis position must meet Export Control compliance requirements; therefore, a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Applicants must be U.S. citizens and eligible for a security clearance. An interim U.S. Top Secret Clearance Pre-Start and final U.S. Top Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
Basic Qualifications- High School Diploma or GED
- 5 years minimum of relevant maintenance experience
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs. and work at varying heights and cramped spaces
- Experience with Aerospace production equipment (e.g., TVAC, thermocycle chambers, vibration operations)
- Minimum 5+ years of Integration experience
- EPA Universal license 608
- NATE certification (HVAC)
- Level 1 infrared thermographer certification
- Machine maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
- Security clearance
- Programmable logic experience (PLC)
- California building code knowledge

- The selected candidate must be able to work any shift, as assigned
- New hires and employees transferring from non-union roles may be required to attend or complete training within their 90-day probationary period. Continued employment is contingent on successfully completing the probationary period
This role will be on 1st Shift.

Summary pay range:
Grade 24: $29.42 – $47.09
