Job Summary

Position:
Food Service Associate – Pot, Pan, and Utensil Cleaner (8am‑4:30pm every other weekend; rotation holidays). Part‑time.

• Set up and close down pot and pan area according to department and regulatory processes.
• Clean, sanitize, air‑dry, and put away all pots, pans, and serving utensils.
• Maintain work area and equipment in a clean, safe, and orderly fashion; notify supervisor of safety hazards.
• Document sanitizer solutions per department standards.
• Clean and sanitize assigned equipment and maintain overall kitchen cleanliness.
• Sweep and mop assigned areas of the food service operation.
• Remove trash and empty grease bins as assigned.
• Pick up daily supply of clean rags.
• Practice safety and sanitation techniques that meet department standards.
• Use correct body mechanics when performing duties.
• Utilize chemicals according to departmental and manufacturer guidelines.
• Perform daily tasks with a "clean as you go" approach.
• Demonstrate accuracy and clarity in verbal and written communication.
• Make sound decisions and take responsibility for outcomes.
• Attend meetings, in‑services, and training sessions; complete required hospital courses.
• Follow hospital and department dress codes.
• Perform additional duties as assigned (e.g., dish room).

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred). No experience required; training provided.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English related to essential job activities.
• Effective communication skills.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally with assistance, 10‑15 pounds frequently; lift up to 35 pounds without assistance; use lifting equipment or assistance for heavier loads.
• Capacity to bend, lift, and move repeatedly; exposure to cleaning chemicals.

Exposure to extreme temperature changes and heat from pot room. Requires standing, bending, lifting, and repetitive tasks. Exposure to cleaning chemicals.

• Competitive pay range: $18.85–$28.30 per hour.
