Kendall County Forest Preserve District is seeking a Facility and Events Attendant to support wedding and other rental events primarily at Pickerill Estate House in Yorkville, and Ellis House in Minooka, with additional hours at Meadowhawk Lodge in Yorkville.

Essential Functions:

A successful candidate for this position must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and provide high-quality support for Kendall County Forest Preserve District operations under the supervision of the District’s Executive Assistant. Essential job duties include, but are not limited to:

• Assists with pre-event and post-event activities including trash receptacle staging and removing, cleanup, facility cleaning, washroom supply stocking, and set up and take down of tables and chairs.
• Provides pre-scheduled tours of the District’s event venues, support facilities, and forest preserve grounds for prospective clients.
• Assists with preparation of event contracts, including coordination of event logistics and communication of District policies.
• Enforces District policy guidelines for use of District facilities.
• Responds to general inquiries from the public, elected officials, District employees, and Kendall County employees regarding District policies, practices, procedures, and programs.

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Valid and current driver’s license required

Average hours:
This position averages 5-10 hours per week on an annual basis

Schedule will vary based on operational needs, majority of hours are weekends and evenings

Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required

This position is on-site in Kendall County, Illinois

Salary range: $18.00-$20.00 an hour DOQ
