Monday-Friday, 8:30 am-5:00 pm

Education Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical school, vocational training, or industrial maintenance certification preferred.

Experience Requirements

• 1-3 years of experience in machinery maintenance, injection molding maintenance, manufacturing maintenance, or a related field
• Mechanical troubleshooting and repair experience
• Basic electrical troubleshooting and repair skills
• Experience working with production machinery and manufacturing equipment preferred
• Valid Illinois driver's license required
• Clean DMV driving record required
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with team members and management

Job Duties

• Perform mechanical and electrical maintenance on production equipment
• Troubleshoot equipment failures and assist with repairs
• Complete preventive and routine maintenance tasks
• Help identify potential equipment issues before they cause downtime
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and maintenance requests
• Assist with maintenance and repair of injection molding machinery
• Support production equipment adjustments and repairs
• Perform general building and facility maintenance as needed
• Maintain facility equipment and infrastructure
• Communicate maintenance concerns and repair needs to the Maintenance Manager
• Follow all company safety procedures and maintenance policies
• Help ensure equipment operates safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in manufacturing, industrial maintenance, facilities maintenance, or a related technical environment is preferred.
• Experience performing preventative maintenance programs and responding to equipment breakdowns is beneficial.
• Knowledge of PLCs, electrical controls, hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, or fabrication is considered an asset.
• Individuals who demonstrate strong troubleshooting abilities, teamwork, and a commitment to continuous improvement are well positioned for success as a Maintenance Assistant.
• At least 1 year of relevant maintenance experience preferred.
• Experience working with production machinery and manufacturing equipment preferred.

Physical Capabilities

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, kneel, and work in a variety of industrial environments throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift equipment, tools, and replacement parts weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to safely work around moving machinery while following established safety procedures.
• Manual dexterity to operate tools, perform repairs, and inspect equipment.
• Valid Illinois driver’s license required.
• Must maintain a clean DMV driving record.
