The above reflects the anticipated hourly wage range for this position if hired to work in New Jersey. The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.

The RWJBH performs a wide variety of maintenance duties in and around the buildings of the Medical Center complex. Occasionally, assists tradesmen and other workers in completing tasks, Repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment safely and effectively.

• High School diploma and two to three years of relevant work experience.

• 7:00am - 3:30pm

• Assists tradesman or leadsman with special projects as needed.
• Installs and repairs locks, doors, windows and screens.
• Performs general carpentry work.
• Performs routine and preventative maintenance on non-clinical hospital equipment, and inspects the equipment for safety.
• Repairs or replaces broken or worn parts as required.
• Repairs and troubleshoots plumbing fixtures, sinks, toilets, and drain lines.
• Cleans and snakes out clogs if needed.
• Repairs or replaces ceiling grids, tiles, and other basic items.
• Repairs, maintains nurse call systems and tube systems through out hospital.
• Provides a compassionate and supportive environment with prompt and consistent service.
