Full-Time Maintenance Technician

Position Summary:
BCSSSD is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our Facilities team full-time. The ideal candidate will hold a current Black Seal License and possess knowledge of plant operation, HVAC systems, and proper handling of hazardous materials. This position is essential in maintaining a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for students and staff.
Qualifications:
* High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
* Current Black Seal License (required)
* Knowledge of plant operation and maintenance, including HVAC systems and hazardous materials handling
* Strong communication skills with the ability to read and write effectively
* Good physical health with ability to lift at least 50 pounds
* Related work experience as determined by the Board of Education
* Required criminal history background check
* Proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status
* Must establish New Jersey residency within one year of hire
Salary & Benefits:
Annual Salary Range: $45,000 - $65,000

Key Responsibilities:
* Perform maintenance and repairs to buildings, grounds, and equipment as directed
* Notify supervisor of issues requiring attention
* Assist with planning and implementation of preventive maintenance programs
* Remain available for scheduled work hours and emergency on-call needs
* Perform additional duties as assigned by the Educational Facilities Manager or Business Administrator
Additional Information:
* Must pass criminal history background check
* Proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status required
* Must establish NJ residency within one year of hire
