Custodian

Elk City Public Schools - We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Custodian to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in our facilities to ensure a safe and pleasant environment for all employees and visitors. This full-time position requires attention to detail, strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

This position will support the Elk City Middle School campus.

• Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizing various areas of the facility.
• Maintain cleanliness in restrooms, break rooms, and common areas, ensuring they are stocked with necessary supplies.
• Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste in accordance with established procedures.
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
• Respond promptly to cleaning requests and emergencies as they arise.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, supplies, and equipment.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting heavy objects, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Must pass a background check and comply with company safety standards.
