Position Summary

Blue Water Builders is seeking a Project Coordinator to support the successful execution of commercial and industrial construction projects. This role works closely with Project Managers and Superintendents to coordinate project documentation, subcontractor administration, owner billing support, and day-to-day project operations.

The ideal candidate has experience in a commercial construction environment and understands the administrative, documentation, and coordination requirements necessary to support projects from preconstruction through closeout. This position offers direct exposure to all phases of project delivery while serving as a key contributor to project success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer and maintain project documentation within Procore, including project setup, document control, submittals, RFIs, drawing logs, and project correspondence.
  • Support subcontractor management activities, including contract administration, insurance certificate tracking, lien waiver collection, and change order processing.
  • Assist Project Managers with owner billing, including preparation of AIA pay applications, supporting documentation, and receivables tracking.
  • Coordinate permit applications, inspections, and jurisdictional requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Facilitate communication between Project Managers, Superintendents, subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and owners.
  • Prepare meeting minutes, project reports, and schedule updates.
  • Support job cost management, project accounting, and data entry functions through Computer Ease and other company systems.
  • Maintain organized and accurate project records to support efficient project execution and project closeout.
  • Assist with procurement activities and material tracking as needed.
  • Help identify and resolve project issues by coordinating timely follow-up with project stakeholders.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of two years of experience supporting commercial construction projects with a general contractor or subcontractor.
  • Proficiency with Procore construction management software required.
  • Working knowledge of subcontracts, AIA documents, insurance requirements, lien waivers, and change order processes.
  • Experience with Computer Ease construction accounting software preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and related business applications.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Effective communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-motivated professional who takes initiative and follows tasks through to completion.
  • Demonstrated history of professional stability and reliability preferred.
