Overview

Step into our Precision and Science Technologies division where precision engineering powers scientific innovation. We deliver high-performance pumps, fluid management systems, and aftermarket solutions for demanding industrial applications. We have an exciting opportunity for an EHS Leader supporting our IRP/MP/OB business based in Alsip, IL. The Safety Leader ensures compliance with regulations and policies, provides leadership and guidance on EHS programs, and conducts audits to ensure company and regulatory standards are met.

This role is hands-on, highly visible on the floor, and fully accountable for owning and driving the safety program end to end. Safety is a core operational priority.

The ideal candidate has deep, practical EHS leadership experience in an industrial manufacturing environment, within a machining or assembly setting, and has built and strengthened safety programs while elevating site-wide safety performance.

Responsibilities
  • Safety Culture & Leadership:
    Build positive relationships across the site to create a zero-incident culture; coach supervisors and employees on safe work practices, hazard identification, and risk management; establish and lead a safety committee; provide leadership on EHS and sustainability matters.
  • EHS Policy & Compliance:
    Develops and manages EHS training, programs, policies, and PPE; manage safety data sheets and regulated reporting; maintain environment management plans (air, water, waste).
  • Risk Management & Incident Oversight:
    Conduct risk assessments, lead incident and near-miss reporting, perform root cause analyses, oversee workers' compensation programs, and manage change for non-standard tasks.
  • Contractor & Visitor Safety:
    Build and manage contractor and visitor safety programs.
  • Machine & Workplace Safety:
    Ensure machine safety upgrades and participate in ergonomic evaluations.
  • Emergency Preparedness & Response:
    Oversee emergency response, training, drills, spill and disaster response, and crisis management; ensure readiness of drills and equipment.
  • Data, Reporting & Continuous Improvement:
    Lead continuous improvement and lean initiatives; own data entry and reporting, analyze trends, and deliver timely reports on incidents, audits, environmental metrics, and EHS actions.
  • Sustainability & Strategic Goals:
    Develop a path to 2030–2050 sustainability goals for the plant/BU.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years of EHS experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
  • 7+ years of proficiency in occupational safety, environmental reporting, and regulations.
  • 3+ years working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and TCEQ regulations.
  • 2+ years experience developing and delivering training programs.
  • 2+ years proven experience in project management and stakeholder communications.
  • 2+ years experience working with Microsoft Office and other EHS related applications.

    Apply knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and TCEQ standards to maintain safe, compliant operations.

    Analyze metrics to identify risks and opportunities.
  • Training & Development:
    Design and manage EHS training programs.
  • Critical Thinking & Problem-Solving:
    Evaluate situations, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
Preferences
  • Degree concentration in Environmental Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, or related field.
  • Professional certifications such as CSP, ASP, CHMM, Train-the-Trainer, or equivalent.
  • Experience with site audits, JHAs/JSAs, and TRI reporting.
  • Knowledge of Gensuite.
Travel & Work Arrangements

Onsite with minimal travel, less than 15%.

Pay Range

The base pay range for this role is $115,000 – $135,000 excluding incentive opportunities. Pay considers skills, experience, training, licensure, and geographic location. Eligible for discretionary and/or non-discretionary annual bonuses and incentive compensation.
