Our client is growing and now hiring a Senior Mechanical Engineer!

Responsibilities of the Senior Mechanical Engineer

• In an ISO-9001 Certified company, you will lead the charge in the standard practice of reverse engineering existing products and further improve on these products from a product development and on-the-shop floor perspective.
• Using Solid Works, you will also be responsible for new product development - cradle to grave - with a focus on metal components and assemblies used in the automotive, rail and trucking industries.
• Design simple jigs, fixtures and tooling.
• You will apply your background to assist with new CAPEX for new CNC machining equipment and machinery used in the metals industry.
• Maintain the Engineering Change Notices, Bills of Materials, Routings and Work Instructions for manufacturing.
• Be instrumental in factoring how cycle times can be reduced on CNC machining centers such as Mazaks, etc. For example, can the shop floor use a newly designed cutting tool to reduce the number of passes from three to one? Can you redesign the part to make this happen from a cost reduction perspective?

Requirements of the Senior Mechanical Engineer

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, industrial or general engineering or in any technical discipline is required. Sponsorship is not available for this position.
• Ten or more years of full-time Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering experience is required from within the metals industry.
• Excellent benefits and career growth potential!
• CAD such as AutoCAD, Creo or Solid Works along with MS Office including Excel is required. Our client is on the Solid Works platform.
• Local candidates only from within a commutable drive as this position is on-site

Compensation for the Senior Mechanical Engineer

The targeted annual starting salary for this position ranges from $90,000.00 to $ depending on experience.

Compensation:
$110,000 per year
