- Layout, design and create hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical drawings via CAD systems.
- Develop control architectures for advanced motion control systems or subsystems utilizing various control strategies based on project requirement goals and with electronic control modules when necessary.
- Perform mathematical modeling and simulation for hydraulic systems using computer‑aided tools.
- Develop test plans for system/subsystems and perform accelerated performance testing of hydraulic system and components on prototype builds.
- Monitor prototype builds and assure proper assembly and functionality.
- Review, analyze and report on system performance compliance via test reports, spec sheets, etc. Develop action plans to meet compliance if necessary.
- Write work instructions for prototype and test technicians. Capable of working in a lab environment as required to complete prototype build / testing.
- Provide leadership and coordination to engineering team. Work with a multi‑functional team to develop cost‑effective, reliable, and easy‑to‑manufacture systems / sub‑systems.
- Define and document system descriptions and validation processes, including required embedded traceability, necessary to achieve acceptance. Develop predictive models that satisfactorily simulate and verify system performance.
- Develop system interface, maintenance, and training approaches and documentation including functional diagrams, schematics, interface control documents, reports of performance, function, safety, and reliability requirements analysis, system function, and/or existing technology/manufacturing capability.
- Provide technical system information affecting long‑range plant and product engineering planning. Communicate with customers to identify new business opportunities, present Parker systems capabilities, and clarify customers’ technical requirements. Write technical proposals for customers by reviewing and interpreting system requirements.
- Lead or participate in studies to evaluate or determine feasibility of new or modified equipment and related systems considering technical and economic factors, available resources, time constraints, and customer impact. Present study results and recommendations to appropriate people.
- Investigate pertinent system design factors such as function, performance, availability of materials and equipment, interchangeability, replaceability, strength‑weight efficiency, contractual specification requirements, determining optimum solutions and implementing recommendations.
- Prepare or direct preparation of system layout, detailed drawings, and schematics by coordinating with engineering design, interpreting customer and functional requirements, or by using engineering computer‑aided design tools and following industry and/or military design standards. Develop critical data and make preliminary system layouts and documentation necessary to present system proposals to customers.
- Review drawings and layouts to ensure clarity, completeness, form, fit, functionality, and conformity to standards, procedures, and specifications. Identify design errors, omissions, and other deficiencies at the component and system levels, and direct revisions and improvements to engineers or other designers. Lead…
