Data Center Operations Systems Engineer II ut the role Lambda is building the infrastructure for the next generation of AI, providing high-performance compute to researchers and enterprises. This role focuses on the physical and operational maintenance of our large-scale data center environments. You will be responsible for the deployment, upkeep, and lifecycle management of our server and network hardware.

• Install, rack, cable, and configure new server, storage, and network hardware.
• Identify and resolve hardware and software faults in high-performance computing systems.
• Maintain accurate records of network topology and data center layouts using DCIM tools.
• Coordinate with manufacturing and supply chain departments to execute large-scale hardware deployments.
• Oversee inventory levels at the parts depot and manage equipment through the full deployment lifecycle.
• Partner with the hardware support team to close infrastructure-related tickets.
• Manage the RMA process to ensure broken components are replaced and returned efficiently.
• Enforce strict installation standards to ensure consistency across all sites.

• Knowledge of data center power distribution, airflow management, and environmental monitoring.
• Proficiency in structured cabling, cable management, and capacity planning.
• Ability to follow precise technical instructions with high attention to detail.
• Must be available to work on-site 5 days per week in a 24/7 coverage environment.
• Willingness to travel to assist with the launch of new data center locations.

• Practical experience troubleshooting server hardware.
• Understanding of network topology.
• Familiarity with JIRA or Zendesk ticketing platforms.
• Background in Linux administration.
• Experience working within large-scale distributed data centers.
• Direct experience with Nvidia or Supermicro hardware.
