Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Entry-level Logistics Coordinator role located in Elk Grove Village, IL. The Logistics Coordinator will assist with organizing and tracking international and domestic shipments, ensuring accurate documentation, and maintaining up-to-date records in internal systems. Daily tasks include communicating with carriers, freight forwarders, and clients to schedule pickups and deliveries, resolving basic shipment issues, and monitoring shipment status.
The role also involves supporting import and export processes, coordinating with internal teams on order and inventory information, and preparing standard reports for management. The coordinator will use both English and Mandarin in written and verbal communication to support bilingual clients and partners.
Qualifications
- Foundational knowledge of logistics, supply chain, or international trade processes; interest in learning import/export operations and freight management.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail in documentation, data entry, and record keeping.
- Effective communication skills in English and Mandarin, including the ability to handle email correspondence, phone calls, and basic business communication.
- Comfort with Microsoft Office or similar tools (e.g., Excel, Word, Outlook) and the ability to learn logistics or ERP systems quickly.
- Ability to work on-site, collaborate with diverse team members, and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field preferred; relevant internships or office experience are a plus.
- Problem-solving mindset, reliability, and professional work ethic; willingness to receive training and grow within the company.
