Spirit International Transport is looking for a detail-oriented and driven Air Export Coordinator to join our logistics team in Elk Grove Village, IL. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in managing international air freight operations for a dynamic and fast-paced freight forwarding company. Responsibilities:- Coordinate and process air export shipments from booking through final delivery
- Prepare and review export documentation including airway bills, commercial invoices, packing lists, and shipper's export declarations
- Ensure compliance with IATA regulations, TSA requirements, and U.S. export control laws
- Communicate with airlines, overseas agents, and customers to coordinate shipment scheduling and resolve issues
- File Electronic Export Information (EEI) through AES/ACE as required
- Track and trace shipments, providing proactive updates to customers and internal teams
- Coordinate with customs brokers and freight partners to ensure smooth clearance and delivery
- Manage rates, routing, and carrier selection to optimize cost and transit times
- 1-3 years of experience in air export, freight forwarding, or international logistics
- Familiarity with IATA regulations, Harmonized Tariff Codes, and export compliance requirements
- Experience with freight forwarding software and Cargo Wise is a plus
- Strong knowledge of export documentation and AES/ACE filing procedures
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to multitask under pressure
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- High school diploma required; associate's or bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain, or related field preferred
